Reasons for people to attend college or university are innumerable and all these depend on one’s perspective. Specifically, the three most important motivations why people pursue a university degree are job opportunities, increased knowledge, and essential skills preparation for their future.

  1. Parents are the best teachers.
Answer:

It is arguable to claim that parents are the best teachers. In fact, some if not most of them have not specialized in teaching. However, after considering various angles, I am convinced that despite their shortcomings, one can perceive and admit that parents are the best teachers. Why? They rally round their children to learn fundamental principles in life. They teach their children to become a good person. Also, they spiritually and materially guide their children to surmount difficulties.

  1. Not everything that is learned is contained in books. Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience and from books. Which source is better?
Answer:

Books are precious resource in improving our knowledge; however, it is contentious to claim that everything we learn in life is scribbled in pages of compendium. As a matter of fact, there are many means and ways to discover and learn lessons and one of which is through our experiences. The knowledge we gain from the books we read and the knowledge we acquire from our experiences are not without differences especially in terms of practicality and retention. It is with these differences that I am personally torn as to which between the two is a better source of knowledge. Despite this plethora of convincing differences, I strongly believe that experiences are a better source of knowledge because they offer down-to-earth lessons which we can apply to our lives practically and the lessons from experiences are better retained in our memories.

Nowadays, it is indubitable that Diaspora from the hinterland to the urban areas has been a common fashion. This migration is attributed to a number of factors and that the choice of abode greatly depends on one’s lifestyle and the pace of life one wants to have. While some argue that living in a small town is good, I am inclined to believe that living in a big city is a better choice. 1. When people succeed, it is because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with success. Do you agree or disagree.

Success is a relative literature and its definition is confined in one’s personal perspective alone. This relativity can be attributed to how an individual achieves it. However, I believe that success does not come easy to most of us. Furthermore, it does not arrive on a prescribed or predetermined schedule. It is a process with many steps on that road. While there are instances of overnight success when one moment of brilliance intersects with perfect timing and the big payoff comes, I am steadfast with my resolve that success is achieved through hard work combined with the power of action and a clear plan.

  1. Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Agree or disagree.
Answer:

While education is aimed at developing the students’ well-being holistically by engaging them in both extra-curricular activities like sports and scholastic endeavors, there is still a disputation whether to allocate heftier budget for sports or the university libraries. I personally have partiality towards the preference to university libraries than sports because of my being a bookworm. However, it is because of my perspicacious analysis of the benefits that school libraries cater to students that keeps my resolve steadfast. Specifically, libraries serve three important purposes: libraries help students improve their academic performance, not everyone can afford books and all students can benefit from the collection of books, and physical libraries are adapting to cultural change, respectively.
